School can be difficult for everyone!
Students are expected to come to school, suppress their emotions regarding everything that they are going through at home, and function at a high level in the classroom.
Teachers are expected to educated students, while managing multiple behaviors from students, hit educational goals, get students excited about school and suppress the emotions that they could have about things in their personal life.
Parents are sending their kids to people they don’t know, to learn things that significantly impact their future, while trusting that their kids are safe while there are tragic things happening in school systems across the country.
There are more influences in school now than ever.
Whether its social media telling the students that they should look or dress a certain way, teachers being told they should manage behavior in their class a certain way or parents being told that they should raise their kids a certain way.
Regardless of what your role is, it seems that no matter what you do it isn’t good enough.
There is a solution.
There is a disconnect between the students, teachers, and parents.
Let us come in and work through all of the unnecessary outside influences and get us all back on the same team. Parents, teachers and students all want the same thing.
How the Program Works
Whether it’s a referral for an emotional outburst, vaping, a verbal altercation, a physical altercation, or THC, we are here to help.
Students who are in AIA/ISS will be treated in a group format. The students will be engaged from a Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy lens to help them understand why they made their decisions, why they responded the way that they did, and learn new skills to replace their negative behaviors or responses.
Some students will be engaged in a more one-on-one setting to provide a platform which will make them more comfortable discussing topics that may not be appropriate to them in a group format.
