“I don’t have time for therapy.”
Work, school, kids, appointments, life, and personal time take up all my time. With all of this going on, I have no time for therapy. How will I schedule something else when I barely have time to care for the things necessary to live?
I work all day to be able to pay my bills. When I get home, I have to get the kids settled. Afterwards, I have to cook dinner. Once they settle down, I have to clean the home. After I finish these responsibilities, I barely have enough time to get five hours of sleep before I have to wake up the following day to repeat this process.
You wake up early to go to school. Then, you have after-school activities. Once this is complete, you have homework and chores around the house to help your family.
You don’t have time to schedule an office visit with a therapist or have your parents take off from work to get you to therapy.
There are multiple solutions.
At Storms, we offer online therapy, allowing you to receive therapy in the home once you get settled for the evening, during your break at work, or early in the morning if you are available.
Operating on a standard 9 am – 5 pm schedule is not what we do. We also understand that this is the busiest time of day for everyone, so why would we only do therapy during these times? Let us know what works for you, and we will try to be flexible.
Working online is easy. You only need a device (iPad, laptop, desk computer, phone) for verbal and visual communication and WiFi access. We agree on a time, you connect to our site, and our session begins. Don’t worry about privacy because our site is HIPPA-compliant. We ask you to find a place free from interruption and eavesdropping.
If you can’t do virtual meetings, we do home sessions. Crazy right? We understand the importance of therapy, so the last thing we would let happen is a family not having access to it due to scheduling and living arrangements.
